The YouTube Video Statistics Tool provides a quick and easy way to analyze metrics for any YouTube video. This guide will show you how to get the most out of this tool to understand video performance, engagement, and other important statistics.
View likes, comments, and view counts to measure audience engagement
Check when videos were published to analyze timing effects
See what tags creators use to improve discoverability
Know video length without watching the entire content
Follow these simple steps to analyze any YouTube video:
Copy the full URL of any YouTube video you want to analyze. The URL typically looks like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
You can also use shortened YouTube URLs (like youtu.be links) or just the video ID (the part after v= in the URL).
Paste the URL into the input field labeled "YouTube Video URL". If you have a YouTube URL in your clipboard when you open the page, it will automatically be inserted for you.
Valid URL formats:
Click the "Analyze Video Stats" button or press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on Mac) to retrieve the video statistics.
The tool will fetch data from YouTube's API and display the results below the input field.
The statistics display includes several sections:
The video description is shown in a collapsible box. Click "Show More" to expand the full description or "Show Less" to collapse it.
Check the description section carefully - creators often include important links, timestamps, or additional information here.
The tool may not display statistics for private videos, videos with restricted statistics, or very new uploads where data is still processing.
Currently, the tool analyzes one video at a time. For multiple videos, you'll need to run the analysis individually for each one.
The tool works for public YouTube videos. Statistics for private, unlisted, or deleted videos will not be accessible.
The statistics are pulled directly from YouTube's API and are as accurate as the data YouTube provides.
There's no set limit on the number of videos you can analyze, but excessive usage in a short period might be temporarily limited by YouTube's API restrictions.
This tool only retrieves public information from YouTube's API. We don't store your search history or the video data you analyze. Your queries are processed in real-time and aren't saved on our servers.
